The origins of Victorinox date back to 1884, when Karl Elsener opened a knifemaking workshop in a village in central Switzerland. Elsener delivered his first soldier’s knife to the Swiss Army in 1891. Six years later, he created the Swiss Officer’s and Sports Knife – now known as the original Swiss Army Knife™ – which would lay the foundation for a thriving global company. Victorinox is now a fourth-generation family business operating in over 120 countries. Edeka Handelsgesellschaft Rhein-Ruhr mbH is responsible for the operation of about 850 stores in the three federal states in the west of Germany. This regional company within the German retail cooperative has around 10 000 employees and sells food and nonfood articles. redPILOT is used to optimize warehouse operations in 4 food retail DCs in Hamm, Meckenheim, Moers and Viersen. All together 12 independent operations for ambient, frozen and fresh goods are optimized with redPILOT. 

Ströck Brot is one of the leading bakery chains in Austria. The beginnings of the bakery go back over 50 years. Today, Ströck delivers fresh bread,  pastries and cakes to thousands of households in Vienna and Austria every day, in our branches and in retail outlets, in hospitals, schools and kindergartens. Baking is still done today at two locations: with a lot of passion and manual work. In over 75 branches in Vienna, Gerasdorf, Parndorf and Kittsee, Ströck supplies 80,000 people with their baked goods every day.
